Well, we can argure here, but thats no use.Ĭurrently we evaluating Android and M$ pads if they offer a solution. Therefore this is considered a bug on your side and due its nature a showstopper. That excludes any access to the internet outside. InHouse-Apps are deployed and used within the intranet. This is not a solution and renders Enterprise Distribution pointless.
When we first discovered this problem, we observed that our own in-house app seemed to fail "trust" at the same time, and the solution was the same, hence our concern whether or not the app was signed with our certificate.Īs mentioned, the apparent solution of reconnecting the iPods to the internet is extremely undesirable. This app in question was not developed in-house and we are concerned about deploying any additional iPods, even with our apps developed in-house, until we have a satisfactory resolution to this matter. Is there another resolution to fixing our issue with this enterprise application? For security, we cannot have these iPods with this app connected to the internet frequently. We can then disconnect the iPod from the internet and the app will continue working for a period so far. We did find in a test with a more local employee that the app will resume "trust" if we connect the iPod to the internet. The app worked beautifully during the first couple weeks. Rolling back the time on the iPod to a previous date or week does not work. Now three weeks have passed after shipping the iPods to our employees for use and the app is no longer trusted. We had tried to simulate a greater passage of time during testing before shipping to our locations, but it seems that our simulation was inadequate. The app was tested over a couple weeks before preparing and deploying several iPods with the app and iOS 9.1. The application was tested before being put into use, but we did not have three weeks of testing with the iPods cut off from the internet on our secure network. During initial setup and installation, the iPod has internet access which allows us to "trust" the enterprise developer.
We use iPod Touches in a secure network to protect customer data.
